About the Author
The author and editor of numerous books and articles in the areas of ethics and social and political philosophy, William H. Shaw obtained a Ph.D. in political philosophy from the London School of Economics and teaches philosophy at San Jose State University, where he served as chair of the department for eleven years. He has also been a visiting professor at the University of Zimbabwe, the University of Hong Kong, and the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He has two other books with Cengage Learning, SOCIAL AND PERSONAL ETHICS and MORAL ISSUES IN BUSINESS (with Vincent Barry).

Best Idea for College Students!

This was the best idea I had for college. The book I rented through Amazon, was exactly what I was looking for, for a reasonable price and a convenience for me in class on my tablet. I am able to highlight and take notes through the booklet if needed. For any college student I do highly recommend doing the same! The professor was practically reading from text (in his own words) through the semester in class. So it was a well needed book.

Decent price to rent but still a ripoff....

This book is by far overly expensive which is typical of the college book industry at the moment. Only purchase or rent if you absolutely have to.
