About the Author
Dr. David Norris has done research in environmental endocrinology and neuroendocrinology for more than 50 years. Dr. Norris is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado. He received his bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and his Ph.D. in 1966 from the University of Washington. Dr. Norris has worked in the area of forensic botany with Dr. Jane H. Bock, since 1982, primarily on developing the use of plant cells in the gastrointestinal tract to aid in homicide investigations. Dr. Norris and Dr. Bock have been involved in investigations in numerous states as well as throughout the State of Colorado. Dr. Norris has been certified as an expert witness in this area for the State of Colorado. With Dr. Bock, Dr. Norris also has consulted on other botanical evidence for criminal investigations. He was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences in 2014.

Dr. James A. Carr is a Professor of Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences at Texas Tech University. His research has focused on various aspects of environmental endocrinology and neuroendocrinology for 25 years including the effects of opioid peptides on brainstem, cardiovascular areas and pituitary hormone secretion, the impact of environmental pollutants on the thyroid and reproductive axes in fishes and amphibians, and the impact of stress hormones on subcortical visual pathways involved in feeding.

The 4th is better

If you are taking a class that requires this book, but says to get the fifth edition, don't get the fifth edition. The fourth edition has the same images and same information that was just moved around and the price is unbeatable. I will say that the company, Sharp Books, was great for their pricing and reasonable people to deal with, plus the shipping was rather fast. Though this book was not what I wanted, I would shop from them again

Alex Grayson is originally from the south but has recently moved to Northern Ohio. Although she misses the warmth of Florida and often times detest the cold of Ohio she absolutely loves living in the north. Her and her husband bought a house on two acres of land and live there with their daughter, one dogs, two cats, and 10 ducks, and 5 chickens. She hopes to eventually get a couple of goats to add to their country way of living. Besides her family and home her next best passion is reading. She is often found with her nose obsessively stuck in a book, much to the frustration of her husband and daughter. On more than one occasion Alex found herself wanting a book to go a certain way, but it didn’t. With these thoughts in mind she decided to start writing stories according to her own visions. Although this is a new endeavor for her she hopes that readers find her concepts on romance intriguing and captivating. Alex welcomes and encourages feedback, of any kind. Well written, but too much doesn't add up

Okay, this story kept me intrested and I loved the characters of both Mia and Mac. There was just too much that did't make sense...spoilers...the book stated over and over that Mac and Mia broke up ten years ago. So how can Trent be eleven? Mac and Mia broke up...a couple months later Tessa announces she's pregnant and Mac marries her, yet none of Mia's family can figure out why they broke up? And when a person is raped, whether the person is male or female, THEY DON'T MARRY THE RAPIST! Then stay married for six years, never have sex with the rapist, but never cheat on the marriage? And then the DNA information is completely absurd! And I'm confused...was it Jesse or Ethan that caught Mia and Mac at Mia's mom's house? Cause it kept changing...okay, I'm realizing now thar 3 stars is probably too many...

Unrealistic

I loved the first book and for the most part I really like this book. What I can't get over is the conflict between Mac and Mia... I just can't see not telling Mia what really happened for TEN YEARS! If Mac was truly in love with Mia he would have told her, made her listen. Then the ending was SO unrealistic.... I mean really?!? That was....... dumb. Sorry. I know the author put a lot of time and effort into this novel so I'm giving it 3 stars but I didn't like it nearly as well as I did the first.

Decent read but annoying storyline

I thought the book was overall decent but the story line really annoyed me. The fact that everyone is mad at Mac just blew me away. He was basically raped so I don't understand the anger at him. I can understand Mia being hurt initially but why wouldn't Mac just go to her and explain? He had testing to back up his claim he was drugged. Even more unbelievable is that Mia's brother is mad at Mac too and he finds out 10 years later and knows the whole story. Mac was drugged and sexually assaulted! How was that his fault.

It puts music into perspective as you see its development over time, the reasons for the different kinds of music, plus what you may think of as technical information is applicable to every type of music today.
